“The Mandarin program of LeapUp Learning stands out from the others in the city. The teachers are incredibly gifted at seeing the students’ potential not based on how much they know at the start but from their learning style. There are all different ways children learn and the teachers were able to recognize my daughters style of learning very early on. They encouraged her to speak, read, and write in Mandarin. She enjoyed making characters with clay on paper plates and learning songs. The homework online was simple and easy for a child but also introduced new content in a playful way. The games to test your knowledge validated her learning and were simple enough even for me as a non-Chinese speaker to follow. Words can not describe my amazement at how quickly my daughter went from a total beginner without any Chinese speaking environment at home to a student who speaks Mandarin fluently. We’re incredibly grateful for the education she received but most importantly the kindness and memories that LeapUp has given my family.”
